Wash Drama is proudly based out of George Washington High School in San Francisco, California.
WHAT WE DO:
Classes (Levels 1-4) -- Fall & Spring Mainstage Productions -- Drama Production Club -- Student Show
Classes (Levels 1-4)
The Wash Drama program is a full 4 year curriculum that focuses on creating well-rounded & passionate theatre artists, collaborators, & creators. Students are encouraged to take drama for all 4 years at GWHS -- many who wait, wish they had started their freshman year!
Fall & Spring Mainstage Productions
We produce TWO mainstage productions every year. All students are welcome to audition or contribute as a designer. regardless of previous experience.
In our 2026-2027 season, we will be producing a play in the fall ("DEADLINE") and the spring (Spring '27 info here).
Drama Production Club
All GWHS students are welcome to join Drama Production Club, even if they have not yet taken a drama class. DPC is a great way to learn about the "business side of theatre" such as fundraising & marketing. DPC also regularly runs scene study with actors & student directors.
Drama Production Club is the easiest way to get some Drama in your life, if you are a very busy student!
We meet in room 141, every Tuesday at lunch.
Student Show
We also are able to produce ONE student directed or written show every year.
Our "Student Show" slot is still available for May 2027.
We have many opportunities to highlight our talented student directors, writers, and designers.
